<p>A long wall coal mining machine has a conveyor (A) with a coal plough (B) at one side and two drives (C, D) on opposite sides of the end of the conveyor. These drive two chains (L) one each side of the conveyor for the conveyor and the coal plough. The conveyor is driven by a drum (CE) at the end, and the coal plough is driven from a drum (DE) at one side. On the other side, the drive gear (C) includes a chain tensioner (CH) adjacent to a flexible or fluid coupling (CJ). The drive the other side, similarly has a flexible or fluid coupling (DJ). The housing is a one piece housing with one chamber for the coupling and the other for the chain tensioner.</p> |
