Notch stamping press speed control - has angular position of notches and speed of ram correlated by control circuit

The ram drive (17) of a notching press includes a rotary speed control circuit. A required speed of rotation computer is placed in the control system before the computer. The press has a separately driven divider arrangement. The division computer supplies signals, corresponding to steps for the dividing head to a step counter. Logic circuitry which follows the step counter, determines the speed of the ram. The pulses fed to the step counter correspond with the path travelled by the divided arrangement.
