Control system for dental instruments comprises a pneumatic supply (1) for each of a pair of alternately operating handpieces, and a main valve (3, 4) connecting each handpiece to the pneumatic supply, with control means (15, 19) for actuating bot main valves. A sensor which connects one of the valves to the supply has an opening through which air is conducted and which can be closed by a finger so that the supply connection for the valves is deflected each time the opening is closed. Pref. indicators (21, 23) for indicating which of the supply connections is operative are actuated by an air current from the sensor, and the sensor controls one or a pair of pneumatic intensifiers (22, 20) each of which controls supply of a main valve. |
