A data processing system partic. suitable for, but not limited to, automatic speech recording for determination of connection details of telephone calls. to enable correct accounting for each call, is designed to reduce the time required per call by an accounts clerk. The system is applicable to calls made via manual exchanges, is economical, and incorporates checking facilities. The data processing system has a number of connected terminals, each with input and operating units, processing and/or storage units, and control units. The connection details are assessed from specific processors or stores in response to request or command signals generated in control untis in conjunction with the data input devices. A monitor circuit is connected to all processors, stores, and controllers. |
