Apparatus for high voltage conditioning cathode ray tubes having internal electrodes connected to external base pins includes a container having a pair of electrical contact members therein and passing therethrough to a high voltage potential source and to a conditioning potential source with a liquid having a dielectric strength greater than the dielectric strength of air disposed within the container for immersing the base pins therein to effect contact thereof with the electrical contact members of the container.
