<p>The filter system for dishwashers includes a filter mesh (6) mounted between the crockery and the water sump and covers a drainage chute (4) and also includes a bypass pipe (15) which leads from the wash container (1) to the recirculating pipe (12). The inlet opening (16) to this bypass pipe (15) is mounted in the wash container (1) above the water (13) set when the circulating pump (3) is in operation but below the water levl (14) when the pump is stationary. The bypass pipe is inactive during normal pumping action and only becomes active when the pump output falls and the water in the container rises which is caused when the filter clogs up. The circulating pump then draws in water from the wash container via the bypass.</p> |
