<p>Oxime-carbamates and carbonates of formula (I) are used to protect cultivated plants against aggressive chemicals (esp. herbicides) used in agriculture (wher Ar = a phenyl (Gp.A), a naphthyl (Gp.B), furyl or thienyl (opt. substd. by halo, nitro or lower alkyl), -COOR4 or -CO-R8, X = cyano, lower alkanoyl, carboxylic acid ester radical, -COOH, H, carboxylic acid amide radical, halo ro lower alkyl, R1 = H, halo, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or para-phenoxy (opt. substd. by =2 halo, cyano, nitro or CF3 gps), R2, R3 independently = H, halo, nitro, lower alkyl, haloalkyl or lower alkoxy, R4 = an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or araliphatic gp. the aromatic radical being opt. substd. by gps. R2, R3 or cyano), R = -NR5R6, or -YR7, R5 = H, lower alkoxy or an R6 gp. R6 = an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic gp. (the aromatic radical may be substd. by R2, R3 gps), Y = O or S, R7 = a R6 gp. R8 = NR9R10 or -NH-CO-NHR10, R9 = H, lower alkyl or cycloalkyl and R10 = A R6 gp. or H or R9 and R10 together with the N form a 3-7 membered heterocyclic ring which is opt. substd. by lower alkyl) (lower alkyl = 1-4C, alkyl 1-8C). Used in protection of crops against e.g. triazines, phenylureas, carbamates, thiolcarbamates, halogenated acetanilides, halophenoxyacetic acid esters, phenoxyphenoxyacetic and propionic acid esters, pyridin phenoxy-acetic and propionic esters, benzoic acid dervis. etc. Crops protected include millet, rice, maize, cereals (wheat, rye, barley, oats) cotton, sugar beet, sugar cane and soja. (I) may be used to pretreat crops seeds or applied before or after sowing or alone or with the herbicide before or after germination. The ratio of (I) to phytotoxic chemical is 1:100 to 5:1 pref. 1:20 to 1:1.</p> |
