The high-voltage switch has two series-connected switching points and a common drive. The drive, which is at earth potential, transmits its energy via an insulating-material rod (6) and a deflection drive which is located between the two switching points (20, 21). This deflection drive has two deflection levers (1, 2) which are supported on a common shaft (3) and whose lever arms are of the same length. One deflection lever is arranged inside the other deflection lever (2), which consists of two lugs. Both deflection levers are located between two connecting rods (4, 5) which each consist of two lugs. In the switched-off position, one operating rod (7) engages partially in the free space between two parallel lugs of the second operating rod (8). This arrangement reduces the space required for the drive and, at the same time, irregularities in the force behaviour are avoided. <IMAGE>
