The salts are prepared by reacting a polyalkylenimine with an alkylene oxide to form a polyalkanolamine and then with an alkylating or quaternization agent. In examples ethoxylated polyethylenimine is reacted with benzyl chloride and the products are added to various aqueous electroplating baths.
