SAFETY DEVICE FOR DOORS OF MEANS OF MASS COMMUNICATION

Closing and sealing arrangement is used for doors or goods or passenger transport coaches. The door has a flexible hollow sealing profile, is reliable in operation and servicing is greatly reduced. One end of the sealing profile cavity (4) has a light radiating device (3) for a light beam (6). The light source can be an electrical incandescent filament lamp or an electroluminescent diode. The other end of the seal cavity (4) has a photosensor such as a photocell, phototransistor or a photoresistor. This arrangement prevents trapping of passengers when the light path is interrupted due to a trapped passenger. It also prevents arbitrary opening of doors by passengers when the door is already shut.
