Magnetic material laminations are used in electrical transformers for telecommunications and electronic equipment. The laminatios are 'T' or 'E' shaped. They do not require any deburring, sorting or special stacking. Their shape eases manufacture. The laminations, are 'E' (6) of 'T' shaped (5) with protrusions (8) and slots (7). The protrusions (8) and the slots (7) are triangular. The protrusions (8) fit into the slots during assembly of the laminations. When assembled the laminations (5, 6) have an air-gap between the central branch of the 'T' lamination (5) and the central branch of the 'E' lamination (6).
