PURPOSE:To improve the quantity of a thinned-out result by using an image memory, an image data forming means, a means for thinning in each multiple of one byte, and a means for forming an optimum dither pattern based upon a thinned-out result to constitute an image processor for thinning dither- processed image data. CONSTITUTION:The image processor is constituted of the image data forming part 21 for reading out data from an image memory storing original image data and executing the dither processing of the read data, the thinning part 22 for thinning and contracting data in each multiple of one byte in each fixed interval, the pattern forming part 23 for forming an optimum dither pattern based upon a thinned-out result, and a shaping part 24 for arraying the optimum dither pattern as contracted data. The original image data stored in the image memory 11 having said constitution are read out, the dither processing of the data is executed by the prescribed dither pattern and image data based upon a prescribed threshold are formed. The image data are thinned-out at a fixed interval in each multiple of one byte and selected lines are thinned-out to obtain a contracted pattern. |
