<p>A tubular cellulose casing for foodstuffs packaging, esp. for meat products, is e.g. 40-200 mm. in dia. They dry circumference is 90-96% of the circumference when fully packaed with food product and the moisture content of the cellulose skin does not exceed 15-58%, by wt. relative to the dry cellulose content of the skin. Soaking of the skin, is deviated and accurate final dia. is obtd. The skin may be coated with a liquid-retaining coating, a coating which improves its peeling characteristic or a coating which improves is adhesion characteristic.</p> |
