Process for producing raised hair-style - uses double curved comb and gas heater to singe hair near scalp

To produce a hairstyle which is raised and stable, a double comb (1, 2) and a small gas heater (3) are used. The flame of this singes the hair near the scalp to thicken it and this forms an infrastructure for the hair-style. The double comb is metal and the two parts are curved away from each other. One wing of the comb is applied to the skull and presses the hair against the scalp. The other wing raises a lock of hair so that an opening is formed into which the flame of the gas heater is introduced.
