<p>A fused switch unit is designed for use in an automatic selector in an electrical distribution network. The fuse (10) is connected in series with one terminal of the switch (12). The switch consists of a free rocker arm which pivots between a closed state in which both ends of the arm (11) make contact with the circuit, or an open state as shown. The switch is driven by a solenoid (13). This is connected in parallel across the fuse and switch core (12). The switch may be one of a number of such switches arranged in a bank and manual override may also be incorporated.</p> |
