The station has a motor generator set and serves esp. as a conversion station. It has a medium voltage part, a transformer, an l.v. part and a cover at least partly openable upwards. The cover has at least one lid covering pref. the whole station surface and hinged at one edge. There is a protective plate parallel to it and with this protective plate a cooling duct for the air evacuated from inside the station. The duct clear cross-section is partly narrowed by heat consuming means, and the lid extends at least at one side beyond the station outer wall, is bent down and forms an outlet for the duct directed downward.
