Roller brush for sweeping machines has bristles fitted right radially up to the ends in a narrow longitudinal section and where roller bodies are fitted with replaceable brush strips mounted on support bodies, annular radially tufted end pieces are provided. The radial tufts can thus be mounted on a ring which can be clamped or screwed onto a support plate and the strips can still be replaced by first removing the end rings and then pushing out the strips. This sweeper with its radial end brushes allows large items to be swept up over a more effective sweeping width.
