摘要 <p>The response of an electrical instrument is made more sensitive to approach the response to touch of a natural one. The keyboard is made to respond to the speed of increase in pressure of the player's fingers as well as the strength of pressure applied. Each key is coupled to a note generator stage based around a voltage controlled oscillator. The array of keys are also coupled via a common plate to sensors (G) that generate a voltage output proportional to the impact pressure. The plate (a) contacts the sensor (b), e.g. piezoelectric crystal, that is embedded in casting resin within a tube (d). The note generator is thus controlled to vary the attenuation and amplitude characteristic.</p>
