Collapsible chair comprises a seat with a back rest support attached to the underneath of the seat and with detachable fasteners for connecting the seat to a support. The front part of the underneath of the seat (1) has two front holders which each have a full-length opening (7) whilst the rear underneath part has two rear holders, each having an opening aligned with the opening (7) of the front part. a holder plate (2) is secured to the underneath of the seat between the front and rear holders (8, 12) and has guide channels (13) in its side edges for the associated back rest support (3). These back rest supports are at each end pushed through the openings (7, 11) in the holders (8, 12) until they abut a stop projection (5) set on the underneath of the seat at a predetermined distance from the opening (7) of the front holder (8). At their rear end the back rest support is attached to the back rest. The seat may form an integral unit with a table and sun canopy.
