<p>Pulleys (2, 3) are connected by driving belt (1), driving engagement between the two pulleys being effected by tensioning the belt using a jockey pulley (8) fitted on a two-armed lever (7) pivoted on hinge (6). The other end of the lever is connected to a push rod (10) which is the working part of the linear actuator (14) containing a screw-and-nut assembly inside its housing. The screw is driven by an electric motor (12) via a reduction gear, the motor being remotely controlled by a switch on the operators instrument panel. The push rod is fitted with an arm (18) working together with limit switches (16, 17).</p> |
