The mechanical grader with adjustable blade is for use on earthworks or highway construction and has drive to the front wheels in addition to a universal joint blade mounting. The machine has a bridge chassis spanning from the front axle to the rear of the vehicle. One or more axles can be deployed to the rear. Driver controlled blade-lifting and pivoting gear is incorporated to give the blade wide-ranging adjustability. The blade is pref. mounted on the free end of an arm which cantilevers from the universal joint.
