The housing (11), which consists of electrically insulating plastic, is used for holding a connecting terminal (1). It is tubular and has two parallel side walls (12) which are spaced apart and are connected to one another by an upper wall (13) and a lower wall (14). In order to be able to use the housing with connecting terminals (1) of different sizes, it is provided on the one hand that the upper wall (13) of the housing (11) runs obliquely inwards from each housing side wall (12) to the centre of the upper wall (13). Furthermore, the otherwise normal stop, which comes to rest behind the rolled-in arms (8) of the connecting terminal (1), consists of two parts (15) which are spaced apart in the lateral direction. The lower wall (14) of the housing (11) runs underneath the socket part (2) from each housing side wall (12) obliquely outwards to the centre of the lower wall (14), so that the base (7) of the socket part (2) rests on the lower wall (14) of the housing, essentially only along the side edges of the base (7). With respect, for example, to its height extent, the housing is relatively elastic so that it can easily accommodate and effectively hold connecting terminals having a wide range of height sizes. <IMAGE> |
