Rapid fitting snow chain - has rigid hoop support on inside face of tyre and tensioning chain loop

The rapid fitting snow chain has an open rigid loop (10) positioned on the inside face of the tyre and supporting at least four cross strands (14, 16, 18, 20). Three of the cross strands are linked to a central ring (30) in the centre of the outside face of the wheel while the third strand has a tensioning clamp (32, 34, 36) to hook into the ring. Only one of the cross strands requires tensioning so that a rapid fitting is achieved. The chain is made from few components and is fitted without special tools.
