<p>The air humidifier has a plastics housing (1, 6) with a partition (11) half way up, with water in the bottom and with an evaporation layer (13) inside the top. A motor (7) drives a pump (9) in the bottom to discharge water into the evaporation layer. Between the top cover (2) and an H section sealing member (16) above the grid (13a) around the layer (13) is a gap (22) which is closed by a vertical rib (23) under the cover. This rib is immersed in water inside the top of the H section, extending for more than half its height. Its bottom edge is between 1 and 3 mm from the cross piece (17) of the H section. This edge is above the perforations (18) through the cross pieces. The rib is also of plastics.</p> |
