A stable dispersion of an N, N alkylene urea of general formula where R1 is an aliphatic or isocyclic hydrocarbon radial containing at least 10 carbon atoms, R2 is hydrogen or an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical, may be prepared by emulsifying it at a temperature above its melting point in a liquid carrier medium which is an aliphatic alcohol and for an aliphatic chlorinated hydrocarbon and for water. Infectants which may be present include methyltourides and sarcosides of C9-C18 fatty acids, alkyl aryl polyglycol ethers, reaction products of ethylene oxide with long-chain aliphatic alcohols, surface-active phosphonic acid esters and phosphonic acid amides. The proportion of surfactants is generally 2-8% calculated on the wear.
