PURPOSE: To receive both of two different printed circuit cards by providing a conductive contact element, which is arranged in a card receiving slot and a slot, having contact parts alternately protruded into the slot at a high position and a low position. CONSTITUTION: As a card 12 is inserted into a slot 22, notch 74 receives a positioning member 34, when a card edge 72 collides with a slot floor 32. A contact part 48 of a conductive contact element 24 is therefore engaged with a pad 14b, and a contact part 66 gets adjacent to the card edge 72 to be engaged with a pad 14a at a lower half part of the slot 22. As a card 16 is inserted into the slot 22, an edge 78 collides with a positioning member 34, and the card 16 is positioned to an upper half part. A contact part 48 only of the contact element 24 is therefore engaged with a pad on the card 16. One printed circuit card having a conductive pad of one center line pitch, or the other circuit card having a conductive pad of the other center line pitch can thus be received. |
