1480379 Preparation of desacetoxycephalosporin C CIBA-GEIGY AG 15 Aug 1974 [17 Aug 1973 12 Oct 1973] 36024/74 Heading C2C Desacetoxycephalosporin C is prepared by culturing, in known manner, an artificially obtained mutant of a micro-organism producing cephalosporin C, which mutant is selected so that the conversion of desacetoxycephalosporin C into cephalosporin C is entirely or partially prevented. Suitable microorganisms are those of genera Cephalosporium and Emericellopsis. The mutants are claimed per se and are prepared in known manner, e.g. by treatment with mutagenic agents or by irradiation with U.V. light. |
