AUTOMATIC SYSTEM FOR CONTINUOUSLY RECALIBRATING A GAMA CAMERA

An automatic system for the continuous calibration of a gamma camera comprising photomultipliers wherein reference light signals are formed by means of an electroluminescent diode and a configuration of optical fibres. By evaluation of the instantaneous gain obtained by the amplification of only the reference signals, the cooperating circuits of the automatic system enable the gain to be stabilized at a value to be adjusted for each of the amplification branches.
