<p>Sewage sludge effluent, pref. contg. 1-5(2-3) wt.% solids, is mixed with an inorganic material (I) which can be roasted, e.g. clay and/or chalk, and opt, with water, to form a slurry, and charged to a roasting furnace, esp. a revolving cylindrical furnace, roasted and removed from furnace, and esp. used for prodn. of clinker in cement mfr., e.g. Portland cement. Mixing sewage sludge water with clay or chalk reduces the odour.</p> |
