Pneumatic drill lubricant dispersal system - has oil reservoir over distributor and feeds mist lubricant to base of drill via tube

The lubricant distributor for a pneumatic drill supplies a mist of lubricant to the critical working zones, i.e. the base of the piston. The system has a lubricant reservoir (15) above the distributor. Variations in air pressure from the distributor atomise the lubricant and distribute it through the compressed air circuit. The distributor controls a piston, and a tube (16) communicates between the reservoir (15) and the piston return canal (14). It is in line with the axis of the reservoir and the drill (6), and opens out in the top of the reservoir (15). The system has a lubricant inlet in the upper zones of the reservoir, and feeds a mist of lubricant into the return canal (14). The mist is then injected into the base of the cylinder. The lubricant may be a mixture of oil and a liquid de-icing agent.
