The X-ray unit has a program selector, an X-ray image intensifier and a photographic camera for taking series of the intensifier output image. Hand-operated switches connect the program selector to the camera (3), so that the picture taking frequency is set by the selector. The subject appts. (2) has four inputs (11-14) for the selection of taking format. The camera (3) has four inputs (15-18) for the selection of image frequency. Any of the inputs (11-18) can be switched to a control voltage via switch (19) and one of the closed switches (5a-8a). The latter are operated by push-buttons.
