Aerial matching system for aerial and output circuit - performs adjustment in fine tuning range with separate reactance tuning

The matching system (3) is used for matching an aerial to an output circuit. It automatically fine tunes the matching network. In the case of a matching network with a separately adjustable coupling, reactance tuning and transfer ratio, the system proceeds by starting from max. coupling, by setting the reactance to an end value and with the transfer ratio at a min. The start of the fine tuning range is detected by detecting the passages through zero of the output of an impedance discriminator. The aerial (2) may be a dipole.
