1,063,586. Devices for practising golf. W. McG. LEES. Feb. 24, 1966 [March 8, 1965], No. 9672/65. Heading A6D. A device for practising golf comprises a frame 1 carrying two parallel tubular members 10, 11 of slightly yieldable plastic material located above the plane of the frame 1 and spaced apart at a distance slightly greater than the heel-to-toe distance of a wooden club. The device also includes a mat 12 having a slot 13 for a tee-peg. If either of the'members 10, 11 comes in contact with the club; the impact is felt by the player and the conclusion is drawn that the back-swing or the follow-through needs correction. The device may be connected to a support on which a player may take his stance (Fig. 3, not shown), and this support may indicate the correct positioning of the feet. A flexible self-supporting rod having means abutting the head of the player may be attached to the frame 1 to give an indication of head-movement. |
