Odoniferous material for use as a repellent for agricultural and garden pests consits of coffee wax (I) or its derivs. in solid form or as a soln. Pref. (I) is used in soln. e.g. in xylene or esp. phenidine and sprayed or spread on textile waste or sprinkled on the earth. (I) is obtd. as a by-prod. of coffee prods.
