The cable-laying plough consists of a frame (2) supported on the ground surface and a vibrating blade (6) with a sawtooth cutting edge (7) without horizontal stabilising fins. The motor (28) that vibrates the blade is mounted behind the blade on two bars of the frame (2) that support the blade. The blade is vibrated in its plane. The cable passes between the two support bars and into a tube (32) in the centre of the blade. The rear end of the frame is preferably weighted by the vibrator (28) and its motor. The frame may be supported by a sliding plate (14).
