In order to monitor the forward-run line (3) of a feed pump (21) of a burner (20) of the oil-conveying installation for leaks in an easy manner, a flowthrough vessel (5) is arranged in the forward-run line (3) on the feed-pump side. The flow-through vessel, which is kept small in volume, contains a sensor which can be designed as a float (9) and monitors the oil level in the flow-through vessel. If the flow-through vessel empties as a result of a leak in the forward-run line, the float (9) sinks, as a result of which a switch (12) is actuated. The switch (12) lies in the alarm circuit of a monitoring device (14). <IMAGE>
