The device for supporting scaffolding planks using ladders to make up a scaffolding framework, has a bracket with a hinged supporting arm (8), fixable in various angle settings, for hanging on rungs of ladders (2) with a bent section or attachment (4) on the rear above a hinge joint, and braced on the ladder stringers (2') with the part which extends below the hinge. The bracket can be a tubular piece (3) with flat pieces (5) fixed plan-parallel at the sides to hold the support arm hinge, together with a series of holes in a circle for detachable fixture to a support pin. This facilitates erection of an easily mounted and dismantled, height-adjustable scaffolding unit with running boards.
