The driving belts consist of elastic straps whose width matches associated pulley groove width. This belt is readily connected and tensioned between two pulleys to ensure optimum power transmission. This belt is used for motor vehicle dynamo driving. The belt (1) is initially open and its ends have engaging closing parts. Close to the belt ends are arranged contacts (19, 20) for the jaws (17, 18) of a clamping tool. The belt ends are pulled together by this pliers like tool so that the closing parts can be connected. The closing parts are plates embedded into the belt ends.
