The water level detector is fitted into the top of the car radiator and operates on the capacitance between the detector and walls of the radiator. It is switched into the measuring circuit when the ignition is switched on and operates a switching control to maintain the low water warning light until the ignition is switched off. The detector has no moving parts and provides a reliable and effective sensor. It can also be used for all types of water level indicators, in water tanks and even in plant boxes with automatic watering at set time intervals.
