<p>The gastight seal for a bunker, ship, armoured vehicle etc., has a closing plate on one side of the opening to be closed. The actuating mechanism is arranged on the other side of the opening. The plate has a central penetrating spring loaded actuating rod. The flap assembly operates reliably. The pressurised fluid operated actuator (20, 21) operates the actuating rod (7). A spring loaded locking pin (12) contacts the actuating rod (7). This locking pin is on the rod side of the opening (5) covering flate (1). The actuator (20, 21) is coaxial with the actuating rod connected at other end to the closing plate (1) and the locking pin can be provided with a handle.</p> |
