<p>The socket has a recess for a plug connected to an electric appliance. Sleeve contacts are provided at the recess bottom, and earthing contacts (6, 7) are mounted at the side wall of the recess, springily supported. At least one microswitch (9, 10) is inserted into the connecting wires for the sleeve contacts (2, 3). The switches are each connected to an earthing contact (6, 7) in such a way that the switch is closed by outward movement of the earthing contact when a plug is inserted. When no plug is inserted the switches disconnect the supply from the sleeve contacts.</p> |
