The rapid screw connection is intended for joining the upper and lower parts of a electric installation housing. It consists of a socket (5) into which engages a retaining screw (6). The socket is fixed into the lower part and the screw passes through a hole in the upper part thereby retaining it. Alternatively, the socket may be an integral part of the lower part, which may be of plastics. Multiple threads may be used on socket and screw. Fastening domes in the lower part may be used as threaded screw receptacles.
