PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain the subject compounds useful for intermediate for synthesis of hydrogen-containing fluorocarbons without destroying ozone layer selectively and in high yield by using halogenopropanes as raw material and fluorinating in gas phase in the presence of HF and specific fluorinating catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Halogenopropanes expressed by formula I (0<=m<=5) such as 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexachloro-2,2-difluoropropane is fluorinated by reacting with HF in the presence of fluorinating catalyst composed of at least one halide or oxide containing at least one element selected from Al, Cr, Mg, Ca, Ba, Sr, Fe, Ni, Co and Mn of oxide selected from Cr(NO3)3 and Mg(NO3)2, etc., preferably in the co-presence of O2 or Cl2, in gas phase at 150-550 deg.C in normal pressure or under pressure for 0.1-300sec to afford the aimed compounds expressed by formula II (1<=n<=6; m<n) such as 1,1,1,3,3-pentachloro-2,2,3-trifluoropropane. |
