The transmission is for a bicycle with auxiliary engine having a pedal driven input shaft (8) and a concentric motor driven shaft (7). The output shaft (12) drives a road wheel via a single transmission (14) and the first shaft (7) is coupled with the shaft (12) via a connection (9, 10, 11) acting in both directions, whilst the second shaft (8) is coupled via a uni-directional connection (17, 16). The unidirectional coupling has a freewheel connected with the output shaft and meshing with an internal-gear wheel on the second input shaft (8). The internal ring gear wheel is formed by a roller chain (25) fixed to a disc (24) secured on the second input shaft (8).
