The process is for the manufacture on non-round, e.g. rectangular or square, hollow packings of wrapped cardboard, by continuous assembly of several layers of material. The layer intended for the inside is brought into position first, and the subsequent layers for plaing on the outside have an increased amount of material towards the outside where the lengthwise edges of the packing are to be formed.
