Horse hoof care compsn. prodn. - by mixing animal fat, beeswax, cade oil, glutamate(s), vegetable tar and rosemary essence

Prodn. of a compsn for care of horses' hooves comprises mixing: (a) animal fat, (b) beeswax, (c) cade oil, (d) glutamates, (e) vegetable tar and (f) rosemary essence. Mixing is pref. carried out at 60 degrees with progressive cooling. A typical compsn. contains 1 kg (a); 250g (b); 150g (c); 25g (d); 150g (e) and 50g (f). Variable amts. of antibiotic may also be included. The compsn. prevents inflammation of the roof. The beeswax and tar have an adhesive effect and allow the compsn to remain in contact with the hoof for a long period.
