The extension mechanism is for the pairs of rails in an inclined building hoist. It needs no special hand- or mechanically-operated winch, extension being effected by the load hoist winch. The rope clamping mechanism, extending with the rail, can be actuated by a loop of rope and a hand lever from the fixed rail, and the same lever can be used both for engaging and releasing the rail locking mechanism. The length of rope necessary for full extension, running between load hoist winch and the pulley on the head section, does not have to be accommodated on the winch in the retracted position, but is instead accommodated in the pulley block.
|
