Machine for preparing packages and associated documents for dispatch has a microprocessor having inputs from a weighing machine, a machine for measuring the size of the package, and from keyboards into which are entered such information as destination, charges and details necessary for calculation of postage. The processor has a program for determining the marking of the package and for the preparation of the documents including invoices and labels. The processor has output peripherals such as marking and printing machines for the marking of the packages and preparing the documents and necessary records. |
