The electric tooth brush consists of a body (1) containing an electric motor (4) and a removable cover (2) attached to the brush (13). The body is cylindrical with a point at the extremity attached to the cover and forms the handle of the toothbrush. The cover consists of a tube (10) and a spoon shaped protective cap (11) over the brush. The brush is attached to one extremity of a transmission shaft (12) the other end of which is attached to the shaft (5) of the motor. The motor can be powered by batteries in the handle or by mains electricity through a transformer (6) in the handle.
