PURPOSE: To obtain an electrostatic spray coating apparatus which operates at a high speed and is simple and low in cost by disposing an intrinsically safe electric valve means in a spray booth means. CONSTITUTION: The spray coating apparatus 10 includes the spray booth means 14, a releasing means 16 for releasing a coating material to parts 12 to be worked, an air valve 24 for supplying the coating material to the releasing means 16 at the prescribed time in response with an air signal, a conduit means 32 for supplying the flow of the pressurized air from an air supply source on the outer side of the spray booth means 14 to the air valve 24 and a control means 34 for controlling the air signal sent to the air valve 24. The control means 34 has the electric valve means 36 arranged at the spray booth means 14 so as to block the flow of the air passing the conduit means 32 and permits the air flow in response with the electric signal for pneumatic signaling to the air valve 24. |
